I finally made it to Bighorn and I am so excited to be hear. I often forget how much I enjoy being in some places, then I arrive at that place and am reminded of my sentimental feelings. That is what it is like coming back to Bighorn after not "really" being here for 9 months. Seeing staff that are my friends, sleeping in the dorms, hiking up to the cross, and sitting in the lodge as people bustle around or sit by the fire are reminders of why I love it here. Bighorn makes community happen and it is something that is hard to find :).
Thank you for praying about my knee. I still don't know what was the matter with it exactly, but what I do know is that it is completely healed. One day I woke up, after praying for it every day several time a day, and it was better. It doesn't seem to be having any trouble what-so-ever. Praise the Lord!
My biggest reason for needing my knee to be healed was knowing a telemark ski trip was coming up right after arriving at Bighorn and I did not want to have any issues to prevent my being able to fully participate on the trip. I had troubles last year with different frustrating injuries and do not want to face those challenges again this year. Anyway, we leave on Tuesday and we will be back on Friday. As I mentioned, we will be telemark skiing and building on the skills we already gained last year. I am really excited because I feel like this year I will be able to focus on learning things rather than just trying to make it through. I know this trip will be different from other trips and I am thankful for that.
I will write again when I return to share the details of a fun trip! Pray for fresh snow on the mountian and that my team and I will have fun and be challenged.
